Discover

A winter Expedition to the North Cape available from November through April. Same essence as our NorCape 2026 route and excursions, but not in group formation. Go solo or with a small circle of friends. Bring your own car or take a well specified rental. We design the route, book the hotels, arrange the experiences, and stay available 24/7 while you drive at your own pace.

You receive a fully scouted digital roadbook with offline navigation, daily briefs, and a satellite tracker for contact in remote areas. We handle permits, the escorted North Cape approach, and practical winter guidance. Support is active in the background, with on call technical help.

In detail

Route highlights

Göteborg to Tällberg and Åre for an ice driving session, across to Umeå and Luleå, through Kautokeino to Honningsvåg for the escorted North Cape convoy when conditions allow. Continue via Alta and the fjords to Mestervik and the Lofoten for two nights in a classic fishing village. Turn south by Mosjøen and Brekstad, then finish near Oslo. Dogsledding in Finnmark and an evening snowmobile trip to a mountain hut can be included on request.

Stays and pacing

Character hotels chosen for winter comfort and location. Examples include Åkerblads in Tällberg, Åregården in Åre, Stora Hotellet in Umeå, Sorrisniva in Alta, Malangen near Tromsø, Nusfjord Rorbuer in the Lofoten, and Lysebu above Oslo. Distances are set for daylight windows, with room for weather days when nature asks for patience.

Vehicles

Own car or rental. For two wheel drive, studded tires are strongly advised where legal. For four wheel drive, top quality winter tires are required, studs recommended in Arctic sections. We provide a simple winter kit list and can arrange rentals that are fully winter ready.
