The NorCape Challenge is a true classic within the CarChallenge program. Each year this winter adventure takes participants to the far north of Europe. Driving through snowy landscapes, reaching the North Cape, and experiencing unique activities such as ice driving, husky sledding, and snowmobile tours make this journey one of a kind.
For 2026, new elements have been added once again: extra overnight stays, new hotels, and an extended snowmobile expedition. The route has been carefully scouted and designed to highlight the most beautiful parts of Scandinavia. With shorter stages, rest days, and a focus on luxury hotels and gastronomy, NorCape continues to grow each year into a more complete event.

The NorCape Challenge can be driven with almost any car. For two-wheel drive vehicles, studded tires are mandatory; for four-wheel drive vehicles, high-quality winter tires are sufficient. For those who prefer to fly, rental cars BMW 5 series or similar) are available, fully equipped for winter conditions. Transport of your own car is also possible. A convertible brings out the best experience.
During the trip, we stay at some of the finest hotels Scandinavia has to offer. Expect boutique properties, luxury lodges, and unique stays such as traditional fishermen’s cabins in the Lofoten Islands. Each hotel is personally inspected and carefully selected. Culinary highlights are also part of the experience: from fine dining in top restaurants to intimate dinners with local chefs.
The route runs through Sweden, Norway, and Finland, passing highlights such as Åre, the Gulf of Bothnia, the North Cape, Alta, and the Lofoten Islands. Navigation is guided by a digital roadbook, compatible with apps like Guru Maps, ensuring the entire route is available offline. Each team also receives a GPS tracker, allowing the organization to provide support at all times.
