Part 3 will climb from the savannahs of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro highlands into the green hills of Rwanda and Uganda, where mountain gorillas wait in the cloud forest. Kenya’s wildlife country follows, before the route rises into the Ethiopian highlands and drops through the Danakil to the salt lakes of Djibouti. Borders and permits will be prepared ahead of time.

Stays will focus on characterful lodges and small camps selected for location and calm. Navigation will run on the offline roadbook with live tracking. The organisation will remain active in the background. Convoy etiquette will guide speed and spacing in fragile environments. Vehicle checks will be planned at sensible intervals.

The finale will run through the lava fields to Djibouti City, gateway to the Horn of Africa. It will feel unhurried and certain. Steady miles, a considered place to sleep each night, and the clear sense of a continent completed.
