Collen 2023

In September 2023 Collen returned to Switzerland, starting in Geneva and crossing a first stage through France with classics like Col du Galibier, Col du Télégraphe, and Alpe d’Huez before three alpine days in Switzerland. Overnight stops moved from Geneva to Chamonix, then to Belalp where we stayed in a car-free hamlet reached by gondola, onward to Pontresina near the Morteratsch Glacier, and a finale around Grindelwald.

True to the format established since the first edition in 2009, participants could choose a relaxed or a sportier route each day. Hotels were authentic and inspected, several dinners were in locally loved restaurants, and the organisation stayed present yet discreet so the roads, the scenery, and the conversations at the table could lead.
