Mongolia Challenge 2017

In August 2017 we drove from Amsterdam to Mongolia and back, a clean arc across Eastern Europe and Russia into the Siberian highlands and the Altai. The group counted about fifteen participants, joined by a Belgian contingent, with Desert Fox as our technical partner. Organisation stayed active in the background so the road and the landscapes could lead.

We spent a full week in Mongolia, where long off-road stages defined the days. Gravel, steppe tracks, river crossings, and wide horizons set the rhythm, balanced by simple, well-placed overnights and clear briefings. The return followed a different line west, steady and composed, with the same quiet support throughout.
