NorCape
2026
Visit to the North Cape, Riding on snow and ice, chance to see the northern lights, enter the forests on a dog sled ride, feel the speed on a snowmobile and ice riding on a frozen lake.

The accommodation
Scandinavia is sparsely populated, but still offers excellent accommodation in most places. We have selected 12 beautiful hotels. In the far north, the choice is a little more limited. Three rest days are planned during NorCape. On these days you will have time to explore the area or participate with one of the excursions. We will go dog sledding, snowmobiling and ice driving!
The route
The Start and Finish
The start and finish are in southern Scandinavia. Before we really hit the winter roads, we start with ice driving. We don’t do this with our own car, but with a special car equipped with large spikes in the tires. This way you experience how a car reacts to ice and snow. This adventure takes place in the famous ski resort of Åre, Sweden, where we also have a rest day.
Alta and the Lofoten Islands
Via a pre-mapped route we reach the northernmost point of Scandinavia. Then we drive on to Alta, where we have a rest day to learn about dog sledding. We visit Johnny Trasti and Trine Lyrek, who run a wonderful, small-scale restaurant in Alta. Johnny is the chef, while Trine deals with dog sledding. In addition to dog sledding, we also tour by snowmobile. Not a simple ride; we go up the plateau and spend some hours.
A rest day in Alta is followed by the Lofoten Islands. Perhaps the most beautiful archipelago in the world and a great accommodation for a rest day. Who knows, we might enjoy the northern lights!

The dinners
Excellent accommodation includes an excellent dinner. Scandinavian cuisine offers pleasant surprises, which we like to discover during this Challenge. For breakfast is always top notch in both Sweden and Norway anyway.
