The essence

Southeastern Europe and the Balkans

In late summer we drive a beautiful route through the Alps and the Balkans, via Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia to Southeastern Europe. We will visit Dubrovnik, a city known for its beautiful medieval coastline. From Croatia we drive via Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia to Greece.

Turkey

In Istanbul we have a rest day, a nice boat trip on the Bosphorus and a walk on the Asian side of the river takes us into a completely different world. The next day we leave for the interior of Turkey and the real off-roading starts. After a city like Konya, the roads become scarcer.

Georgia and Armenia

We drive north, towards the Black Sea. We follow the coastline and cross the border into Georgia. The country in the South Caucasus in Western Asia. Here we really go into the high mountains, the country is packed with peaks above 5000 meters and we drive to the foot of the Elbrus, with a height of 5,642 meters a real giant. There are plenty of unpaved mountain passes here and the sparsely populated interior takes us back in time and finally to the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.

The accommodation

Although the route goes for, we only stay in good to excellent accommodation. Every evening we enjoy a joint dinner where the local dishes are mainly on the menu.
