The essence
The route
We start in Oman and drive through Dubai and Abu Dhabi into Saudi Arabia. Until recently, this closed country was not accessible to tourists, and certainly not by private car. We cross Saudi Arabia and visit Riyadh, Mada’in Saleh and the Al-Waba crater. Watch our presentation!
Jordan and Israel
We pass the border with Jordan riding a number of stages through this beautiful country. Of course, we’re not skipping Petra. After Jordan, we visit mysterious Israel. Of course we visit Jerusalem and the dead sea. The finish is in modern Tel Aviv.
From Israel, the cars are shipped back to the Netherlands. After the finish of The Middle East Challenge you can of course also stay a few days in Tel Aviv.
The accommodation
Although the route goes for, we only stay in good to excellent accommodation. During our overnight stays in the desert, we set up a luxury tent camp. Nothing beats sleeping under the stars!
The food
Every evening we enjoy a joint dinner where the local dishes are on the menu. We selected the restaurants during the inspection trip. We ensure that you will not be faced with unpleasant surprises. If you want to go out for an evening yourself, that’s fine – after all, you are not obliged to do anything.
